Dear Team,
Well, I’m not aware of how I can check for this, but most of my plugins are compatible with the current version of WP WordPress and require PHP 5.2 or higher (two of my plugins are not compatible with the current WP version- but these two are not main plugins). WP recommends/says Hosting is more secure when PHP applications, like WordPress, are run using your account’s username instead of the server’s default shared username. Ask your potential host what steps they take to ensure the security of your account.
“Dear Juliana,
We hope this email finds you well. This is to inform you that we have scheduled to upgrade our shared hosting servers MySQL versions form 5.7 to 8.0.
This upgrade is scheduled to happen in successions, starting 10th April 2024.
The MySQL version updates is necessitated by the need for improved performance and security enhancements, and also for compatibility with updated libraries/CMSes being used in current website designs.
We expect that the upgrade will be seamless and will not affect your website’s operations. However, if you have databases that must run MySQL version 5.7, we kindly ask that you will inform us via email so that we can consider that”
