I have noticed all new domains I register go to serverHold status. This happens to .co.za domains. Why is that? How do I prevent that from happening?

The ZACR who administers .Za domain names requires that the DNS servers used during registration or transfer of a domain be setup as authoritative in order for a DNS update to be published.
In other words, when registering a domain name to Truehost you need to make sure that the domain name is added to the control panel before registration or you have a hosting that is active with the domain you are registering. This makes the DNS records to exist in your hosting server. If this does not happen, then the registry will place the domain into serverhold.
To resolve this issue, make sure that the domain name has been added to the control panel or to your hosting server, then update nameservers to the new server.
NB: The order must be followed as stated, if you start with the second step, you will not succeed.
